Alley

Alley is a rabbit that will knock your socks off...she's really one in a million and we love her like there's no tomorrow.

Sadly, she was found as a stray in an *alley* in Surrey, hence her new name. THANKFULLY, a kind family found her and contacted us right away. They were worried about her as there was something really wrongg with this bunny. When we first met her, we were greeted by this happy go lucky little spirit. But we knew she was different....

Alley has some sort of congenital problem that makes her coordination and walking very awkward. Her front limbs almost seem as they are too long and she often stumbles over them. The strangest part is that she has to walk with her front paws curled under her rather than walking on the pads of her feet. It would be like us walking on the back of our hands. To compensate for this, she has to hold her back legs out on an angle and curl her toes under, walking on her toes rather than a flat foot.

At first, it was very sad to see this...she would get going and then stumble....you would feel so bad to watch her. After getting to know her however, that's not the case anymore. For Alley, she was born this way and she most likely doesn't even realize that she's different. She loves to be out running around and exploring, especially with the other bunnies - if they groom her mind you ;-)

Alley will always take the time to come over and give you a face wash and then she quietly bows her head awaiting a head scratch for herself. As you scratch her head, she will chatter her teeth and suck up all the attention she can get. Nothing brings a smile to your face like Alley...

Alley recently went to a wonderful forever home! Yay, Alley!!!
