Babalulu

Babalulu is a senior Chinchilla who was found as a stray in May 2006. She was found on the UBC Endowment Lands.

We took her to the vet as soon as she came in as was soooooooooooooooooo skinny. Inside her mouth it looked like like she was electrocuted...the flesh was all rotten along where she would bite down on something. It must have been very painful. If only she could talk and let us know what happened to her! Dr. Upjohn didn't think that Babalulu was going to make it because she was in such rough shape but we weren't ready yet to give up as she is just the sweetest little thing

It was a challenge to look after her and get her to take the antibiotics and antiseptic. You can see where he has been slobbering & drooling due to a sore mouth & trouble eating. Her teeth are ok though.

It's been a few months now and we're happy to say that Babalulu has made a full recovery and is doing well in her forever home with Lisa. She hangs out with Lisa like a little dog and likes to pass out on the couch watching tv. Her other hobby is to pee on people and she knows she'll get away with it because she is simply too precious!
