Luna & Soleil

In spring 2005 we received an email from a young man asking us to help with two rats that were only 4 months old. His ex girlfriend bought them when all of her friends bought rats at a pet store. When they broke up and she moved out, she left the rats behind. Now the young man was moving to a place where he wasn't allowed to have pets. When he called his ex girlfriend asking her to come and pick up her rats, she said that he should just release them into the park. Luckily the young man realized that this would be their death sentence and got in touch with us.

Once in rescue, we quickly realized that something wasn't quite right with Soleil, the white dumbo as she had her head tilted at all times. Poor thing was suffering from an ear infection. We put her on medication which quickly cleared up the ear infection. However damage was done, due to the fact that her ear infection was left untreated for way too long her head tilt will be a permanent thing.

Luckily that doesn't stop her at all, she behaves like a normal rattie girl and Soleil and her sister Luna were lucky to find a wonderful forever home where they are loved and spoiled rotten!
