Nasty & Friends

In early 2005, Nasty and a lot of other guinea pigs were surrendered at a local animal shelter. The shelter was unable to accomodate such a huge number of guinea pigs so they called us and asked if we could help out. We were more than happy to help out and took in Nasty and a few of her friends.

The guinea pigs all had terrible skin due to mites. The guinea pigs were so itchy because of the mites that they literally scratched themselves raw.

We are happy to report that they all made a full recovery and all were adopted. Nasty and her baby friend Nelly were adopted by Joanna who is our guinea pig coordinator here at SARS BC.
