Ripley

Ripley is a very special bunny and one that really amazes you when you meet him. That is why we had chosen to call him Ripley as in Believe It Or Not.

Ripley came to us from a local shelter where he was brought in as a stray. He was found in Richmond around Minoru Park. Thank goodness he was found because there is no telling how long he would have survived.

Ripley is splay legged, meaning that both of his back legs go out to the sides. Apparently one leg has an old break and the other has been dislocated. We are not sure how they got like that and we don't even want to imagine. It may have been how he was born, maybe he had an accident while growing up with his mom (being stepped on or something like that) or maybe he was dropped or injured by a person.

None the less it hasn't slowed this amazing bunny down in the least. Initially he would absolutely panic if you tried to hold him but once he realizes you hold him safely and that his bottom is secure, he will actually enjoy being cuddled and even gives you a face wash in return.

He is such a loveable, happy little camper that we are thrilled to have with us. As you can see from his pictures/video.....he can get around as well or even better than some able bodied bunnies.
