Roxy

Little Roxy came to us in December 2005 - Our little Christmas angel. She's a tiny tiny little 6 year old dwarf.

Little Roxy had been dropped at some point in her life (they had a 2 year old so we wonder what might have happened). Needless to say, her back leg was severely broken and left untreated!!!!!! It is horrible, the pictures dont do it justice.

After the break, she was then put outside to live along side the house and then later kept in a garage.

When we first saw her, we immediately began to cry - We put our hands in to pet her and she immediately began to lick our hands. How could such a tiny creature who has been treated worse than garbage, still find it in her heart to give love?

We made sure that we spoiled this little girl rotten. We've never been so touched by such a tiny little spirit....her determination, strength and loving personality was mind boggling. She never once went being touched without giving a small lick in return. She loved to just live and despite all she's been through she was always such a positive little spirit.

Unfortunately over the last few weeks her body began to betray her and she was growing tired. We stuggled with wondering if it was her time. Her upper body became weaker and could no longer compensate for the loss of her back legs. For the last few weeks Lisa took her with her as sometimes she would get turned over and be unable to right herself. Getting to her food was a struggle despite her wanting to eat. She spent the nights on Lisa's bed and went wherever she went.

The night before Lisa went to the pet food store and bought out all the cat grass...it was her favorite. She ate 5 packs of it and enjoyed all of her favorite treats. Before we got to the vet on her day to go, we stopped and had her picture taken with Santa.

At the vets, she gave Lisa kisses right up to the end. Her passing was very quick and she left this world knowing we loved her more than anything in the whole world.

Roxy, our tiny angel - We will NEVER, ever forget you.
