Sparrow

Sparrow came to us from the Fraser Valley where a nursing home called us reporting that one of the bunnies that frequented their yard area appeared to be poisoned.

Of course that threw us into a panic so we quickly arranged to meet up with them and get the bunny to a vet. When we picked her up they also mentioned that they thought that maybe her back leg was broken. We carefully picked her up and realized that her legs were fine but she had a serious case of head tilt.

Off to the vet she went, she was given a course of treatment but as with most head tilt cases, they don't often resolve themselves 100%. In Sparrows case, she stayed fairly stable. She has adapted to living with her tilt but often gets over excited thus making herself a bit more unstable at times.

Here are a few pictures of Sparrow enjoying checking out all the Xmas decorations....it's a favorite time of year for all the critters. Apparently someone leaked to her that we were having a secret Santa campaign and she was busy trying to guess what was in all the packages ;-)

Sparrow is a sweet girl but so head strong. She is determined to have her way and is a real bossy boots to the other rabbits. She likes to be out when the days are warm & nice and there is nothing more that she enjoys than a bit of granola now & then.
