The 60 Bunnies

In July 2004, before SARS BC officially started, we received a call from a person wanting to surrender 60 rabbits or else they'd be released into the wild or sold to pet stores.

They got a male (Bob) and two females (Natasha & Lily) around Easter and 60 bunnies later they were no longer interested in them and they had to go.

The 60 rabbits were all kept together outside in filthy conditions with little or no food or water. There were the 3 adult bunnies and lots of baby bunnies ranging from a few days to a few months old.

SARS BC took them all in and had them spayed and neutered. Most of them have since found homes, including Bob (the father of all the babies) and Natasha (one of the two moms) who were adopted by their foster parents! Others like Rion, Snippet, Poppet & Moppet are still patiently waiting for their forever home over 2 years later.

Bob (white bunny on top) and his girlfriend Natasha are helping their owners move!
