Whitacre

One Saturday afternoon SARS BC received a call from a man in East Vancouver that said he had found a hamster running loose in his backyard.

Luckily he was able to catch the little fella and when he did he was surprised at what he saw.

Poor Whitacre had burns to all of his feet. We picked him up and immediately took him to see our vet. It was confirmed that his feet had bad burns likely inflicted by being held on a stove top.

We took him back home with us and Bonnie, his foster parent, immediately went to work to rehabilitate him. His burns were treated and once he was well again, Whitacre was lucky enough to be adopted by the kind man who found him and saved his life doing so!
